All parts of the Christmas rose, also known as the Christmas rose, are poisonous to humans, cats, dogs and other pets. It is therefore safer for pet owners to do without the pretty snow rose in the house and garden.

Christmas rose poisonous to cats
The Christmas rose contains toxic substances such as saponins, protoanemonin and hellebrin. These substances are contained in all parts of the snow rose.
As an animal lover, it is therefore better not to keep Christmas roses in the house or in the garden.
Even small amounts can cause significant harm to cats. If the cat has nibbled on the plant, the same symptoms appear as after poisoning by Foxglove:
- diarrhea
- Vomit
- dizziness
- circulatory collapse
If you suspect it, go straight to the vet
If you suspect your cat has eaten parts of a Christmas rose, you should go to the vet immediately.
