When the cyclamen in the pot has withered in April, it does not need to be thrown away. It can spend the summer in the garden. Simply plant it in a shady place, for example under shrubs or trees. Bring it back in late summer.
Care - some change needed here
Since the dormant phase of several weeks begins after the flowering period, care should be adjusted to avoid damage to or overstressing of the plant:
- pluck faded flowers
- repot if necessary
- Set fertilizer application
- pour more sparingly

Cyclamen should not be cut back after flowering. It retires on its own, catapulting the remaining nutrients from its leaves into its bulb.
