Hydrangea hedges enchant the garden with their abundance of flowers. Both the farmer's hydrangea and the panicle hydrangea are well suited for this form of garden design. When planting the hedge, pay attention to the planting distance so that the hydrangea bushes can develop sufficiently.

In the case of peasant hydrangeas, which grow between one and two meters in height, the individual planting holes must be dug with a minimum distance of fifty centimeters. Panicle hydrangeas grow up to two meters high and therefore need a greater distance to the neighboring plant. The planting distance should not be less than one hundred centimetres.

To ensure that the hydrangea does not press neighboring plants too much, you should keep a planting distance of eighty centimeters to shrubs and perennials. Also note the minimum distance to the property line prescribed by the state ordinance.
