Black-eyed Susanne is not hardy and should not be brought outside until the end of May. Flowering only begins after a few weeks outdoors. To encourage the climber to flower early, you should prefer it indoors.

Sow black-eyed Susanne indoors
One way to encourage black-eyed Susan indoors is by sowing seeds. From February you can sow the seeds.
After emergence, the seedlings are pricked out and later planted in pots. After the ice saints, you can plant or place the black-eyed Susanne outdoors.
Cut cuttings in spring
If you have overwintered your perennial black-eyed Susan indoors, you can bring them forward from January by propagating them with cuttings.
The shoots that have not yet lignified are placed in potting soil. Once rooted, they are trimmed once and then transplanted into pots.
Bring from winter quarters from February
You should take your black-eyed Susanne out of the winter quarters from February onwards.

But be sure to bring them back in at night, because the shoots freeze even with light frosts.
The preferred black-eyed Susans are not allowed to go outside until the end of May, when it really isn't freezing anymore. Plant or place the vine outside on a hazy day.

In a good location, Black-eyed Susan flowers from July to October. The three to four centimeter large flowers are quite persistent. By cutting out faded flowers, you can also stimulate flowering.
