Normally, when there is a wasp plague, one can console oneself with the fact that the colonies only live short cycles anyway. But what if displaced wasps kept coming back, or a colony re-established in the same place year after year?

General wasp etiquette
You should always be on good terms with wasps. Not only because they react rather uncomfortable to annoying fights, but also because they are an integral part of the ecosystem and simply part of reality.
When dealing with the animals, therefore, prudence is required above all. Avoid an angry attitude toward them, as that will only make them persistent. Especially in the following cases:
- Unauthorized removal of nests from and from the house
- Clogging entry holes on nests
- Hectic behavior when wasps visit the dining table
If a wasp colony has nested in your attic, in a roller shutter box or in the masonry of your house, you should try not to fight it yourself, or at least not without careful preparation.
If you move a wasp nest yourself, you not only have to be meticulous about the right time, the right method and the right equipment, but also a sufficiently distant release site. If you take the prey no further than 2-3 kilometers from your house, the wasps will find their way back to their original location.
You should thoroughly clean the site of a nest that has been removed - preferably by a specialist - or one that has been orphaned in autumn in order to remove the wasp odor. In the following year he can tempt other young queens to build a nest here again.
The same applies if wasps have nested in the window frame or in a facade insulation gap. What you are also not allowed to do here under any circumstances is to close the entry holes. First, by doing this, you encourage the trapped animals to continue eating through the insulation material to get free. Secondly, individuals who have stayed outside react aggressively to closed entrances and in no way withdraw resignedly.
You also trigger aggressiveness in wasps at the dining table by frantically waving around and blowing away. If you display such behavior, you shouldn't be surprised if many more wasps come shortly afterwards. The most obvious attacks make them really angry, so they enlist reinforcements to fight back together.
