Strawberries are not just strawberries

Early Varieties

If you can hardly wait to enjoy sweet strawberries, we recommend early-ripening varieties. They bear red fruit as early as mid-May when the weather is warm. Early varieties can bear fruit until the end of June. For a high yield you should plant at least two square meters.

  • 'Honeoye': improved cultivar of the cultivar 'Lambada' that is resistant to disease
  • 'White Dream': white fruit with a sweet aroma reminiscent of pineapple

Medium grades

If you have already harvested the fruits of your early varieties, strawberries of the middle varieties will slowly ripen. Fruit ripening often overlaps with strawberry harvest from early-bearing plants.

These plants get a particularly large number of hours of sunshine and develop tasty and large fruits from the end of June. With these varieties you can enjoy the strawberry season to the full. The fruit harvest extends into September.

Strawberries with harvest time until autumn:

  • 'Symphony': very good yield, high fruit firmness
  • 'Salsa': very appealing fruits that taste intensely aromatic

monthly strawberries

These varieties are known as reblooming strawberries. They come from the wild strawberry and convince with sweet fruits that can be harvested until autumn. Between June and July, the varieties produce a particularly large number of strawberries. After a period of dormancy, fruits develop again in autumn. Since the plants grow compact, they are ideal for container planting.

  • 'Ostara': abundant flowering between July and November
