A bamboo water feature belongs in every Japanese garden - and suits many other gardens as well, whether they are natural or modern in style. You can build such a gargoyle yourself with simple means and few materials.

The heart of every water feature is the pump, which you should buy to match your creation: the higher you plan the water feature, the greater its pumping capacity must be. Now you still need a water collection basin into which the pump is integrated invisibly - for example by placing it on a metal grid and layering natural stones around it. A larger stone with a hollow or a clay pot is suitable for this. Finally, you build the actual water feature from bamboo tubes that are cut to size, provided with openings for the water and connected with metal wire. The diameter of the bamboo tubes should be such that a standard garden hose - which you connect to the pump - fits in there.
tips
Pretty decorative figures for the water feature can be made from styrofoam sheets that have been cut into shape and covered with foil. If you like it more natural, choose wood as the material.
