In February, the uncrowned winter queen is in full bloom. The snow rose (Helleborus niger) actually prefers an undisturbed location in the bed. For a breathtaking season, the winter-flowering perennial with the white to pink bowl-shaped flowers still likes to hold court on the balcony. The following heralds of spring like to join in:
- Spring cyclamen (Cyclamen coum) with pink or white flowers and beautiful heart petals; 5-10cm
