With an edging you can decoratively stage a tree disc. Disused paving stones or antique cobblestones are well suited for this purpose. As a rule of thumb for the ideal radius, measure the crown diameter and add 10 to 20 cm. The average diameter of a tree disc, including the border, is 80 to 100 cm. This is how you skilfully create the stone border for the root disk:
- Determine the correct radius using a string and folding rule
- Lay the stones in a circle and hammer them in at ground level with a rubber mallet
- Sweep fine sand into the joints
