There are different varieties and species of the tulip tree, coming from different regions of the world. Accordingly, their appearance and size as well as the time of their flowering vary. However, they are all impressive.

The tulip tree (bot. Liriodendron tulipifera) comes from the east of North America and is widespread there. It flowers from April to June, depending on the region and the weather.
The tulip magnolia (bot. Magnolia x soulangeana) is also often called the tulip tree, but is only closely related to it. It comes from China and flowers in April and May. The African tulip tree belongs to a completely different genus, is kept here more as a houseplant and blooms almost all year round.
