Causes of falling leaves of Medinilla magnifica
If the Medinilla magnifica loses its leaves or they turn brown, a number of causes come into consideration:
- draft
- Plant has been moved too often
- Medinille was filmed
- location too cool
- too dark place
- too low humidity
The location of the plant plays a particularly important role.
The right location for the Medinilla magnifica
In a favorable location, it is very bright without exposing the medinilla to too much direct sunlight. Only in the winter months does it tolerate the sun well. Find a spot where it gets sunny only in the morning or evening.
The Medinilla magnifica does not like it when it is moved or turned too often. If you need to move it to a different location, make sure the plant is facing the light in the new location in the same way as it was before.

Increase humidity by spraying
To prevent the Medinilla magnifica from losing its leaves due to low humidity, you should spray it with water more frequently. Placing water bowls near plants also increases humidity.
Sufficiently high humidity also prevents diseases and pest infestation.
Medinille sheds buds and/or flowers
If the flower buds or the flowers of the Medinilla magnifica fall off, it can also be because the plant was moved too often or exposed to drafts.
