Mustard is not only so popular because of its aromatic seeds. At the flowering time, the bright yellow flowers on the large fields attract a lot of attention. You can find out when the mustard blooms below.

Mustard can be planted all year round
Mustard is so undemanding that it can be sown at home or in a greenhouse at any time of the year. However, it does not always flower and therefore does not necessarily form seeds. In order for the mustard to flower and form seeds, it should be planted in spring, preferably in May.
When does the mustard bloom?
Normally, mustard flowers in summer between June and September. Mustard plants belong to the cruciferous family and therefore have exactly four petals. The flowers inspire with their light yellow color. As soon as the mustard begins to flower, you should stop harvesting the mustard leaves. Gradually these die off anyway and seed formation occurs. The seeds can usually be harvested in October.
