There are different types of papyrus, but not all are not hardy. Real papyrus is very sensitive and needs temperatures of at least 15 °C. Other species are content with 10 °C, they are well suited as house plants.

Bring your papyrus to a warm and light winter quarters. A heated conservatory, for example, or the living room for smaller plants is well suited. Keep watering your papyrus normally, even in winter. You can reduce the fertilizer a bit, since the plant does not flower.
Papyrus in winter:
- Minimum temperatures for real papyrus: 15 °C
- Minimum temperatures for other types of papyrus: 10 °C
- never hibernate outside
- choose bright, warm winter quarters
- continue watering normally
- maybe fertilize a little less
