Once autumn crocuses have taken root in the bed and lawn, they continue to multiply inexorably with daughter bulbs and seeds. With a view to the high poison content, it seems to some gardeners as if they have opened Pandora's box with the planting. Read here how to remove the penetrating poisonous plants.

Eliminate autumn crocuses with perseverance - this is how it works
If the Poison Flower of the Year 2010 threatens to spread uncontrollably in your garden, you are on a losing battle with classic weed control methods. Since the bulbs are 20 cm and deeper in the ground, you will not achieve success with herbicides. It is better if you buy the punch from the persistent plants with perseverance. That is how it goes:
- The best time is late April/early May
- Put on gloves and weed out all the leaves and the flower stalks with the seed pods
- For reasons of caution, dispose of all extracted plant parts in the household waste
- In this way, fight poison crocus for the next 2 to 3 years
At this point, the faded bulbs are completely exhausted. If the leaves are removed now, the autumn crocus cannot regenerate. In addition, the daughter onions that have been created are cut off from the nutrient supply and also die.
