What should I consider when transplanting?
Snowball bush does not grow well in winter, so it is better not to plant or transplant it then. In the summer, don't forget to water your viburnum plentifully after transplanting, it's one of those thirsty plants. If possible, avoid transplanting during the flowering period, which is bad for most plants.
Transplant your viburnum after flowering, then trim the old wood straight away. This allows the shrub to take root and then sprout again. Of course, the new location should be sunny to half-shady, the soil moist, even slightly wet for species that like it.
They only give fertilizer when the soil is poor or when a soil analysis reveals a deficiency. The snowball sometimes reacts sensitively to too much nitrogen in the soil. In the first few weeks after transplanting, however, you should water the shrub regularly unless it rains.
