It is not necessary to overwinter this plant. Due to its origin, it can also deal well with a Central European winter. It is hardy down to -25 °C. Nevertheless, it is advisable not to put this temperature minimum to the test.

If you regularly remove the root stolons, you must assume that the Aralia will vigorously form new stolons. The only thing that helps: Remove regularly to avoid proliferation.
