It looks good, it can be propagated without any problems and it does not require a great deal of care. Nevertheless, there is a good reason to think twice about buying a winter snowball…

Slightly toxic in all parts of the plant
Like its relatives, the winter snowball is poisonous. It is classified as 'slightly toxic'. Consuming its plant parts can have a negative effect on physical well-being. Above a certain dose, consumption has the following effects:
- Vomit
- nausea
- diarrhea
- shortness of breath
- Gastrointestinal Pain
- mucosal irritations
Both the leaves and fruit as well as the bark of this plant are poisonous. It is therefore better to plant the winter snowball in a location where curious pets and small children have no access or which is difficult for them to reach.
tips
