The flowers of the nettle are very inconspicuous
A long period: April to October
Depending on the species, the nettle blooms at different times. Most species show their flowers in summer:
- Great nettle: July to October
- Small nettle: late June to October
- Reed nettle/marsh nettle: July to August
- Pill nettle: April to October
At its heyday, the nettle presents its panicle-shaped inflorescences. They consist of male or female flowers in the stinging nettle. On the other hand, the small stinging nettle, the pill stinging nettle and the reed nettle found in the Havel area have hermaphroditic flowers.
