In view of its tropical origin, the pineapple plant places high demands on its location. Constant temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees Celsius are required for best growth, magnificent flowering and juicy, sweet fruit. In order to repeat this feat over the years, the royal fruit takes a break in winter. This is how the exotic plant would like to overwinter:

- at the bright southern window with temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius
- the temperature does not fall below a minimum of 16 degrees Celsius
- there is no active radiator under the window sill
- water less and do not fertilize
Humidity must be maintained at a high level during the hibernation. Therefore, spray the pineapple plant every 2-3 days with lukewarm, lime-free water. Optionally fill the coaster with pebbles and water. From the end of March, you will gradually meet the increased need for irrigation water. In April, a first dose of liquid fertilizer gives the plant the necessary energy for a successful start to the new season.
