With a growth height of 80 to 250 centimeters, the pampas grass is one of the most impressive ornamental grasses. The white flower spikes rise high above the foliage. They are reminiscent of fluffy dusters and retain their fluffy appearance when dried.

Drying the fronds is very uncomplicated:
- Cut the fully opened fronds just above the ground.
- Wrap the style with a ribbon or rubber band.
- Hang the straws upside down. A warm, sunny and wind-protected place is ideal for this.
- After about a week, the panicles of flowers will have dried enough for you to arrange them in a vase.
- Shake the pom poms thoroughly so that loosely adhering parts fall off.
- Spritz the pampas grass with a light coat of hairspray.
The care of the fronds
In contrast to green plants, the fluffy umbels of flowers no longer require any work. However, you should regularly remove the dust from them. Gently shake out the pampas grass outdoors or walk over it at a distance with the vacuum on the lowest setting.
