With the move into the winter quarters, the demands on a plant in terms of care also change. We'll tell you what to look out for with the Coleus canina.

Coleus canina- plant repellent
The Coleus canina is also popularly known as the "piss off" plant. Their fragrances smell so unpleasant for animals that they quickly run away. Thus, the plant serves to deter foreign cats and wild animals from the garden. Since these rarely show up on frosty nights, you can bring your Coleus canina indoors during the winter.
Tips for wintering
The Coleus canina is not hardy and must therefore not get frost. Bring the plant indoors in time and store it in a cool place at 5°C to 15°C. In winter you should only water the plant moderately. Test with the thumb test whether the substrate has already dried. Only then does the next watering take place.
