Why is my banana plant drooping?
There are many different reasons why a banana plant droops its leaves, also depending on which of the approximately 70 types of banana tree it is. There are tropical and subtropical species, but also some that come from temperate climates. The latter are even considered hardy.
Sometimes the banana tree simply lacks a little water, after all it is a plant with high water and nutrient requirements. If only the lower leaves are affected, this is normal to some extent. Banana plants form a kind of trunk by shedding the lower leaves and sprout more and more at the top.

Most species of the banana plant are happy about a hibernation or a cool hibernation. During this time, the plant draws strength for the next vegetation phase. After all, it will then grow again about one centimeter a day and drive out a new leaf about every week. If there is no break, the banana tree looks limp and lets its leaves droop.
