Ginger bulbs can now be purchased in stores all year round. The season for growing in the garden in this country extends from around March to October, as it is a frost-sensitive plant.
Harvest fresh ginger straight from the tub
So that the ginger, which comes from tropical regions, gets enough heat and as little waterlogging as possible, it should ideally be cultivated in a pot with loose soil substrate. Under a plastic film and a few centimeters of soil cover, the tuber sprout after about two weeks. As soon as the leaves turn yellow in autumn, the tubers can be pulled out of the ground for use. Keep a piece of it in a dark, dry and cool room. You can then use this again in the spring to grow ginger.
