- tips and tricks
Revita is a new breed that was specially developed to have increased resistance to leaf curl and other fungal diseases. In addition, this new variety is considered to be very robust and cold-resistant.

Revita is quite short in stature
In contrast to other peach varieties such as Benedicte, Revita remains comparatively small with an average growth height of around two to three meters and is therefore also suitable for smaller gardens. In addition, this variety is considered to be particularly resistant. Revita not only defies frizz, but also wind and weather - and without any losses worth mentioning. Even frost cannot do much harm to the small peach tree.
Features of frizz disease
- Leaves blister greenish to red
- Leaves curl
- sometimes the tips of the shoots curl up
- as the tree progresses, it sheds affected leaves
- sometimes branches also die off
- Disease cannot be treated, only prevented
- Although Revita is considered resilient, it can still be infested
Fruits ripen comparatively late
Peaches of the Revita variety are greenish-yellow in color and have a strong orange-red marbling on the sunny side. The creamy-white flesh tastes sweet, but with a subtle acid note. The shell is quite thin. The fruits ripen between mid to late August. The tree flowers mid-early and is a striking sight with its beautiful dark pink flowers. The yield is - compared to other peach varieties - very high.
Revita are ideal for preserving
Revita is perfect for preserving, for example for jam, compote, fruit puree, juice, ice cream or cake. Of course, you can also eat the fruit fresh from the tree, but they disappoint - again in comparison to more aromatic varieties such as e.g. B. Benedicte - in this case taste. However, they add a fantastic peach flavor to desserts, cakes and jams. In addition, Revita allows the cultivation of peaches in rather suboptimal locations.
Choosing the ideal location
- as sunny and protected as possible
- Protection from rain and soil moisture
- Revita fits well under a canopy
- Soil is loose and rich in humus
tips and tricks
For the best possible harvest, you should water your tree more in the last few weeks before harvest and also apply compost again. But be careful: Don't overdo it with watering, as this can dilute the taste of the peaches.
