The bell pepper is a healthy, versatile vegetable. However, the hard skin that is difficult to digest is a reason for many to avoid peppers altogether. It doesn't have to be. The vegetables are roasted in no time at all, the skin can be removed.

- Set the gas flame to medium.
- Place the peppers directly into the gas flame.
- Be careful, no juice must run into the flame! The vegetables should not roast unattended.
- Roast the peppers for twenty minutes, turning them constantly so that all sides are roasted.
- Once the peppers are tender, turn off the flame and place the wrapped peppers on a plate for post-steaming.
- Open the foil, let the vegetables evaporate briefly and then peel off the charred skin.
- Cut the peppers apart and remove the seeds and inner skins with a spoon.

- Heat a coated pan.
- Add the washed whole peppers.
- Turn frequently so the skin turns black on all sides.
- The vegetables must be steamed in the bag or covered in a bowl so that the skin comes off better.
