Plants for the windowsill
Not everyone has a garden, but you don't need one either. Many plants also thrive on the bright window sill or a balcony. For example:
- strawberries
- cress
- salads
- wheatgrass
Indoor plants for children
It doesn't have to be edible plants. Children are also interested in non-flowering green plants. However, for safety reasons, you should make sure that the houseplants you choose are non-toxic to your child - and of course they should be easy to care for. Therefore the following are possible:
- Spider plant: extremely easy to care for and hardy, difficult to kill, makes interesting children that can be used for reproduction
- Chinese Money Tree: UFO-like leaves
- Thick leaf: easy to care for and robust, can be easily propagated from cuttings
- Cat grass: can be sown and grows extremely fast, a treat for cats
- Efeutute: For older children, as it is poisonous, but: Leaves can be cut and put in water and then form roots - a great spectacle!
Unsuitable for children as it is toxic!
