If you have discovered the first symptoms of powdery mildew on the leaves, first cut off all infected parts of the plant. Then your way leads to the refrigerator, because it contains a powerful home remedy against fungal infestation:
- Mix 125 ml of fresh milk with 1 liter of boiled water
- Add a teaspoon of dish soap to optimize leaf adhesion
- Pour the solution into a spray bottle
- Wet the upper and lower sides of all leaves dripping wet with the milk water
Repeat the application at intervals of 3 to 4 days until there are no more symptoms. You can also use the home remedy as a preventive measure if mildew is regularly rampant in your garden.
