As promised in the February news, first some information about the Green Week, which is considered the most important agricultural policy event worldwide. In terms of visitor numbers, the days from 19 to 28 January were almost as well attended as in previous years with around 400,000 guests. After all, the 1,660 exhibitors from the 66 participating countries were worth so much to the guests who were keen to spend that the turnover at the end of the show was a proud 50 million euros.

This year, the adventure world in the countryside also had an incredible number of highlights that attracted the public between the 25 show and cooking stages, the new animal and flower hall and the lovingly designed adventure farm. Particularly high value was placed on sustainable and very creative business ideas and the food area was not neglected, but just different than usual…
The leading trade fair for the food industry has never before let the highly esteemed consumers know and feel in such a distinctive way that one can now also be quite good "hip". This welcome trend became particularly clear during the successful premiere of the Startup Day, where the amount of creative ideas from young founders almost went through the roof. And the decision-makers at the shop counter across all age and population structures were enthusiastic. What does the future taste like - The leitmotif of the now 83rd exhibition in the exhibition halls under the Berlin radio tower was summed up aptly by Christoph Minhoff, General Manager of the Federal Association of the German Food Industry, in which he said: "New recipes, sustainable product innovations such as insect burgers or coffee cherry lemonade and Rediscovered production processes such as cold brew were an offer that visitors, politicians and the media literally enjoyed.”
