The national event with the highest number of visitors was currently the "Green Week" in Berlin. One of the official slogans, opened with great media impact by Greenpeace climbers under the motto "Let the pig out" with special posters on top of the radio tower, was: "What does the future taste like". There was also a foretaste of this at the joint booth of the food industry in the form of acai lemonade, spectacular insect burgers and the "cold brew coffee", which is still not very well known in this country. It was to be expected that at such an important event, for which 400,000 visitors are expected, rural productions would meet harsh reality, but not with an acting Minister of Agriculture, who, among other things, enjoys cheese cubes from Mrs. Antje.

In the spring, several events await garden lovers

Nevertheless, regardless of which camp you belong to, the 83rd Green Week was definitely worth a visit. As the exhibition was still running while the monthly news was being edited, we will report on the most important highlights and insights gained in our next issue. But now to our recommendations for February:

Special opening for the "Winter Blossom in the Park" in Bad Zwischenahn

Outside the regular opening hours (April 14 to October 7), the barrier-free and child-friendly "Park of Gardens" with its more than 40 model gardens invites you on February 11 to visit the green plant treasures that are just blooming. There will be a guided tour at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., during which the participants will receive expert recommendations for cultivation in their own garden. Fair house-garden-leisure - enjoy with all your senses in Leipzig

Around 800 exhibitors will be presenting their latest garden, building and living trends for the coming years at the exhibition center. How traditional food production works is explained to visitors in the "Glass Butcher's Shop" (or bakery, etc.), you can experience creative craftsmen to join in and/or watch in action and you are invited to a flying visit to the "Messe-Bauernhof". From February 10th to 18th, guests can look forward to many attractive special shows, informative theme days and a diverse stage program under glass. "Land & Enjoyment" the adventure fair in Frankfurt

Pure Hessian country life mixed with the latest garden trends and regional culinary specialties will be presented in four different theme worlds at the exhibition center from February 23rd to 25th. The well-filled list of exhibitors promises many unusual ideas on the subject of home and garden and invites you to feast and try. "Raus aufs Land", a world of experiences for farmers, provides an overview of regional country life and at the same time presents the tourist diversity of the entire federal state.
