In our latitudes, only a few ball cactus species are successfully cultivated indoors. With proper care, the decorative ball cactus develops a yellow flower. The prerequisite is a longer cooler phase in winter.

The flower of the spherical cactus
With proper care, especially in winter, the ball cactus has a yellow flower in summer. However, it will take at least three years for that to happen. Before that, no flowers appear.
The flowering period of the spherical cactus begins in July and can last until September.
If an older globe cactus doesn't develop a bloom, you've kept it too warm over the winter. The cactus must be overwintered in a location where temperatures are between 12 and 15 degrees. In addition, the place must be as bright as possible.
tips
The ball cactus can only be propagated from seeds, as it does not form shoots. Rearing from seeds is relatively easy and almost always successful.
