Plump, juicy green leaves are the most beautiful ornaments on the money tree, jade bush and other succulents. If succulent leaves become soft, it is not just the striking appearance of the exotic indoor plants that is affected. The damage indicates a life-threatening deficit in care. You can find out what it is here.

Soft leaves on succulents signal a lack of water
The pleas for a restrained water supply tempt home gardeners to water their succulents far too infrequently. Especially in summer, the bizarre beauties suffer from soft leaves because the water supplies they have there are running low. How to solve the problem:
- First check whether the substrate has actually dried out
- Place the succulent in bone-dry soil in soft water until no more air bubbles rise
- Alternatively, repot in fresh soil and water properly from now on
From April to September, succulents also want to be watered regularly. Only during the winter dormancy is the water supply reduced to a minimum.
