The Echeveria is a thick-leafed plant. It stores liquid in its fleshy leaves. Therefore, the plant copes very well with longer dry periods. Too much moisture, on the other hand, is harmful. How do you water Echeveria correctly?

Water the Echeveria sparingly and from below
Echeveria do not tolerate too much moisture at all. Always water the plant only when the substrate is almost completely dry. The dry phases stimulate the coloring of the leaf rosettes. You also prevent the plant from rotting if there is too much moisture.
It is best to always water an Echeveria from below. Only give enough water to just dampen the substrate.
The Echeveria tolerates lime-poor tap water quite well. But it is better if you use rainwater for watering.
tips
Avoid wetting the leaves of the slightly poisonous Echeveria with water when watering. This creates unsightly stains. If you water too much, the leaves will even rot.
