Many of the different indoor ferns are classified as at least slightly toxic, but the easy-care nest fern is considered non-toxic. Nevertheless, it should not necessarily be nibbled on by your cat. So you can be sure that nothing happens.

The nest fern is harmless to humans and animals

The leaves of the nest fern can reach a length of about one meter. Depending on the species, they are more or less curly. Depending on its natural location, it prefers shade or partial shade. Since it always grows a little towards the light, you should rotate it regularly if the light is not reaching the plant from all sides.

Ideally, the humidity should be around 60 to 70 percent and the temperature should not drop below 16 °C. Room temperatures between 18 °C and 22 °C are ideal.
