The sunnier the better
Mountain knapweeds develop their full splendor only in a very sunny spot in the garden. Even a semi-shady place is unfavorable. There are only a few flowers here.
Absolutely avoid waterlogging
The mountain knapweed does not tolerate waterlogging at all. Provide well-drained soil when planting, loosening it with sand and pebbles if necessary.
If the mountain knapweed is too damp, root rot occurs. The perennial then dies.
