Pampas grass forms shorter, narrow leaves that are very sharp-edged. With proper care, after a few years the characteristic flowers will develop, which bloom in different colors and are much longer than the leaves.
Inflorescences are formed on the long stems, which look like a frond. The color and length of the fronds depend on the respective varieties.
Flowering time also depends on the variety planted. Some pampas grasses flower as early as July, others only start flowering in September. The flowering lasts until November.

If the pampas grass does not want to bloom, there are usually care errors. Sometimes a location that is too shady is to blame for the lack of flowering. In general, however, the ornamental grass only flowers after a few years.
