Since the Spanish daisy is only conditionally hardy in this country, it should be provided with a protective layer outdoors in winter. But potted plants should be overwintered.

The requirements for the winter quarters
The Spanish daisy (also Mexican fleabane) in the pot needs a change of location in autumn, insofar as it is to look fit next year. The winter quarters should be as follows:
- bright
- cool (0 to 5 °C)
- air regularly
- well suited among others: conservatories, greenhouses, (72.95 €) gazebo
Care in winter is limited to sparing watering and regular checking for pests. After hibernation, the perennial is cut down by 2/3. Slowly get them used to the direct sun again!
tips
If you cannot find a suitable place to overwinter, you can also plant and protect the perennial in the pot or wrap it with fleece and place it on the wall of the house.
