So that the slowly wilting leaves are not visually disturbing, you can plant the bulbs of the daffodils in the middle and rear area of a perennial bed. After they have faded, they are covered by other plants until they are pruned.

Immediately after flowering, you can fertilize the daffodils in your garden with a phosphate-reduced complete fertilizer. In this way, these nutrients can be stored directly in the bulbs for flowering in the following year.
