There are so many different types of phlox that with the right choice you can look forward to a rich sea of flowers in your garden all summer long. The variety of colors of the phlox leaves little to be desired.

Early-blooming species such as the cushion phlox start flowering as early as April, while late-blooming varieties will delight you well into the autumn. One of these varieties is the perennial phlox, which can grow up to a meter tall.
Extend the flowering period
If you want to enjoy the blossoms of your phlox for a particularly long time, then cut off some of the flower stalks to about a third of their length before they bloom. These stems need to grow back before they start flowering.
tips and tricks
Phlox loves itself. If you want to prevent this, cut it back after flowering. You can then sow the seeds in a controlled manner.
