The seeds are ready. Whether bought or harvested in the previous year - if they are sown at the wrong time, there are disadvantages. When is the timing right?

Sow indoors: In early spring
You can start pre-growing in your own four walls from the end of February. You should have sown the seeds at home by early March.
Direct sowing outdoors: Between April and May
For sowing seeds in open ground, the following points are important:
- from April to mid/end of May at the latest
- Seeds sown in summer may dry up
- Seeds need cool temperatures to germinate
- first flowering to be expected in the second year

It is true that the columbine is perennial. But the young plants do not tolerate severe frost. Therefore, do not sow too early outdoors!
