Just not in one point, because the edelweiss needs a bright, sunny location - the sunnier, the better. For this reason, the mountain plant is not suitable as an underplanting for trees, for example - it would even die in such light-shaded locations.

It's all the easier for you when it comes to the soil: Edelweiss, depending on its origin, prefers a barren soil that is as stony as possible. This should also be slightly alkaline, i.e. calcareous. For this reason, the edelweiss is the perfect plant for a rock garden.
