During the winter in the house, it often happens that the leaves of the Black-eyed Susan turn yellow or red and fall off. This allows the plant to bare below. Spider mites are to blame.

Check leaves for spider mites
Look closely at the discolored leaves. If you see reddish spots on the top or bottom, spider mites are definitely responsible for the discoloration.
What you can do against spider mites
If the infestation is not too severe, you can try rinsing the plant with a jet of water and then using a commercial spray.
Most of the time, however, it is not worth rescuing black-eyed Susanne. Prefer to grow new plants from seeds next year.
tips and tricks
Black Suzanne grows best if you give it a suitable climbing aid. If the climbing plant can climb up on it, the shoots are more airy. This makes it easier to prevent pests and diseases.
