Even with a light touch, the leaves exude a creamy scent reminiscent of strawberries. The berry aroma becomes more intense the harder you rub the leaves. If they are completely crushed, a scent reminiscent of Black Forest cake spreads.

Strawberry mint is rich in essential oils, tannins, flavonoids and bitter substances. They have an antispasmodic and cooling effect. The ingredients relieve pain and inhibit inflammation. Puree one kilogram of berries of your choice and bring the mixture to the boil with 500 grams of preserving sugar and a little lemon juice. The puree boils for four minutes, stirring constantly. Remove the pot from the heat and sprinkle in a handful of finely chopped mint leaves.

Pure mint jelly is made with 100 grams of leaves poured with 250 milliliters of boiling water. Let the brew steep for 15 minutes and filter off the leaves. Then add 500 milliliters of apple juice, 500 grams of preserving sugar and some lemon juice. The juice is boiled for a minute while stirring constantly.
