To ensure that your potted willow bears little catkins in the coming year, you should overwinter the braided plant as follows.

Even in braided form, the willow does not stop at its characteristic rapid growth. Although the type of design slows down the increase in height somewhat, the little tree will sprout again. In the summer, a pruning is therefore also necessary for the braided willow. In winter, however, the willow is dormant and must not be cut.
