Moss can be easily removed with a Kärcher

As a natural mineral, soda is useful for removing moss. It unfolds its effect when cleaning paving stones, concrete and natural stones.
1. The ideal time
Choose a day when no rain is imminent. Also in the following days there should be no rain, otherwise the effect of this method will be minimized.
2. Preparations
Loosen dense moss pads with a scraper and remove the remains. Prepare a solution of ten liters of boiling water and 15-20 grams of soda.
3. Combat
Spread the mixture on the patio tiles with a squeegee and leave the liquid to work for at least five hours. The effect increases if you wait several days. After the exposure time, remove the moss with a scrubber.
potassium permanganate
Dissolved in water, this potassium salt provides an effective moss-fighting agent for limestone and natural stones such as granite or marble.
1. Prepare solution
Heat ten liters of water to boiling point and mix in 15 grams of potassium permanganate. Wear gloves when mixing and stirring. The mixture turns brownish to purple.
2. Check effectiveness
Test in a visible place whether the agent is suitable for the substrate. Potassium permanganate causes discolouration on light colored stones. The agent is unsuitable for wood.
3. Combat
Pour the solution onto the patio tiles. The exposure time is at least five hours. Then scrub the plates with plenty of water and rinse with clear water.
Karcher
An effective method for removing moss is an industrial vacuum that can suck up both dry material and water. This measure is suitable for any surface and is particularly effective when the moss has become soaked with water. Remove the bag and leave the filter in the device. Move the nozzle directly over the areas overgrown with moss. The large negative pressure pulls the cushions off the plates. Then fill empty joints with sand.
