Leisure gardeners had to wait a long time for storm-proof flower box holders for the windowsill. Resourceful designers have taken on this problem. The result is a mount that you can attach without drilling. These installation instructions explain how it works, using the example of the Vario-fix flower box bracket for window sills.

The tools required for assembly are limited to an open-end wrench SW 10.
Important requirements
Only attach the window box bracket if the window sill is firmly attached to the masonry or the window. A projection of 30 to 70 mm to the facade is also one of the requirements. Furthermore, a 5 mm deep water drainage groove is required.
Instructions for assembly
A flower box holder is always installed in pairs. The following instructions explain step by step how to assemble and attach a mount. How to do it right:
- Screw the clamping plate to the bracket using the locking screw
- Tighten the PVC hex head screw on the clamp plate until it holds
After this preparatory work, go to the window sill. Here you place the clamping bracket on the window sill. Push the clamping plate up along the slot of the bracket into the water drip groove. Then tighten the locking screw with the SW 10 open-end wrench. Now turn the PVC hexagonal screw against the house wall until a support between bracket and wall is ensured. The screw must not be bent under any circumstances. For the purpose of a strength test, please shake it.
The size of the flower box defines the distance between the two brackets. This is about 10 cm from the outer edge to the middle.
If it is a window sill made of aluminum or sheet metal, the installation is similar. The only difference is turning the clamping plate 180 degrees to thread it behind the front leg of your window sill. Then push the clamping plate up as far as it will go and tighten the locking screw.
