Most crops need full sun to thrive vigorously and healthily. No wonder, then, that a raised bed should be in the sunniest possible place. However, there are also vegetables that are well suited for light penumbra.

Perfect for the light shade: kitchen herbs, salads and cabbage
These include, for example, many typical kitchen herbs such as parsley, dill, garden and watercress, chives, chervil, lovage, burnet, mint, oregano, as well as woodruff, wild garlic, chive garlic and lemon balm. Shade-tolerant are also many salads (head lettuce, pick or cut lettuce, lamb's lettuce, rocket, mizuna, pak choi and other Asian salads) as well as many leafy and stalked vegetables such as spinach, chard, kale and rhubarb. Furthermore, kohlrabi, peas as well as bush and pole beans can be cultivated very well in partial shade. You just have to make sure that the location is not too damp - hardly any plant species tolerate waterlogging.
tips
Fruit vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines, pumpkins or courgettes do not thrive in the shade at all. They always need a full sun and warm location.
