From about February to May, the clivia shows its lush, bright orange or red flowers. At least now the viewer appreciates this attractive houseplant, even if the care is not always easy.

If the inflorescences dry out, remove them. After flowering, clivia begin to form daughter plants or children. In this way she takes care of her own propagation. However, do not cut these plants too early, they should be at least 20 cm tall. Now it is time to fertilize the clivia less and slowly prepare it for hibernation.
Post-flowering care:
- remove faded inflorescences
- best time to cut the kindel
- possibly repot
- reduce fertilization
- slowly preparing for winter dormancy
tips
To ensure that your clivia blooms just as beautifully next year, allow it a cool hibernation of at least two months.
