Especially when a plant is not as easy to care for as is the case with the clivia, then brown or yellow leaves are quickly a cause for concern. A mistake in care is often the reason for this discoloration.

Clivia react quite sensitively to direct sunlight, sometimes even with an ugly sunburn. A place in the sun is not well suited for them, rather a window facing east or west, because clivias like a lot of light. Incorrect watering can also cause the leaves to turn slightly brown. Waterlogging can be the reason, or too little water and thus a dried-up root ball.
Possible causes of brown leaves:
- waterlogging
- too much sun
- dry root ball
tips
Place your Clivia in a light, not too warm place as soon as possible and change your watering habits if necessary, then the plant will recover quickly.
