The silk tree (Albizia), which originates from Asia and Australia, has not long been one of the ornamental trees in central European latitudes. It impresses with its unique flowers, which open up during the day and exude a pleasant fragrance. When is the flowering period of the silk tree?

The silk tree blooms in summer
The flowering period of the sleeping tree begins in early summer and lasts for several weeks.
However, only older trees that have reached a sufficient height bloom. When cared for in the bucket, the silk acacia usually does not grow high enough to produce flowers.
The infructescences that develop from the flowers, which contain the seeds for growing new silk trees, are poisonous. It is therefore better to avoid the silk acacia if children and pets are part of the family.
