Gold fruit palms are among the palms that need a lot of water, but cannot tolerate waterlogging at all. You therefore have to water the tree, also known as the Areca palm, frequently. How often and how do you water a golden fruit palm properly?

How often does the golden fruit palm have to be watered?
In summer, the Areca palm needs daily watering. The warmer it is, the more frequently you need to water as thoroughly as possible. In winter, reduce the amount of water so that the root ball is always slightly damp.
You must absolutely avoid waterlogging, as the palm tree will then become ill or the leaves will discolour.
Always pour off excess water immediately. Place the areca palm outside without a saucer or planter so that rainwater or irrigation water can run off.
tips
Golden fruit palms are a bit demanding when it comes to irrigation water. Rainwater that is not too cold is best. Alternatively, you can also water with stale, low-lime tap water.
